Part of a series of cassette recordings of original, sequenced electronic music from 1992-1996.
Equipment used: Atari 520ST with Dr. T's Tiger Cub & later a Windows PC with Logic Pro, Tascam Porta07 cassette multitrack recorder, Alesis Microverb III digital multi-effect, Digitech RDS-4000 delay, Lexicon multi-effect, Yamaha TG-33 synth, Novation Bass Station synth, Alesis SR-16 drum machine, custom-built distortion, envelope follower and resonant filter pedals.
These tracks were intentionally recorded very "hot" in order to utilize tape saturation, so their volume level is loud and distortion is present.
NOTES: digitized from the original cassette masters at 96,000 Hz sample rate and 24-bit sample depth, using a PreSonus Firebox into Sound Studio 3. Each piece was normalized to -0.3 dB with minimal finishing in iZotope Ozone 4 and encoded to MP3 using iTunes at 320 kBits/sec variable bitrate, high-quality settings.
